Title: Introduction to Ethical Theory for Parliamentarians
Abstract: We will investigate ethical theory, including the three most popular forms of western ethics. Deontology, one of these ethical theories, is the study of application
of a set of rules to determine whether an action is right or wrong. This will lead us directly into two case studies which ask the participants to consider the Code of Professional Responsibility for Parliamentarians* and how it applies in the situations posited by the case studies. This seminar will include small and large group discussion.
