Lake Mead Unit – Comprehensive Course in Parliamentary Procedure

The Lake Mead Unit of the National Association of Parliamentarians proudly presents an engaging and practical 8-week online training series designed to strengthen your understanding and application of parliamentary procedure using Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised In Brief (3rd Ed).
This course will be held on Sundays from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM PST, beginning February 15, 2026, through April 12, 2026, via Zoom.
*Class 2 was postponed until March 1st which extended the series by 1 week
Led by esteemed instructor Gail Knapp, Ph.D., J.D., PRP, this interactive series provides participants with a comprehensive foundation in democratic meeting processes, effective decision-making, and leadership within organizations.
Participants will explore:
* The principles and purpose of parliamentary procedure and its role in democracy
* How to properly make, debate, and vote on motions
* Meeting structure, decorum, and the responsibilities of a member
