Parliamentary Procedure for Small Boards

 

This presentation will cover parliamentary procedure rules for Small Boards, including debate and other rules specific to boards, chair participation, informal discussion, periodic changes in the board, delivery of board reports, types of boards, and creating goals for boards.

Marsha Thornton is both a credentialed parliamentarian and a credentialed mediator. Since earning her Professional Registered Parliamentarian (PRP) designation in 2018, she has been an active leader. She currently serves as the 2nd Vice President for the Texas State Association of Parliamentarians (TSAP) and chairs its Education Committee. At the national level, she served on the Educational Resource Committee (ERC) of the National Association of Parliamentarians. As a lifelong learner, Marsha holds degrees in Finance, Business Administration, Dispute Resolution, and a certificate in Strategic Leadership. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys cooking and spending time with family.
