The best way to avoid having to interpret bylaws is to write them well. This workshop will focus on techniques for drafting clear and logical bylaws (and rules). Participants will learn best practices for plain language writing and apply those practices to case studies.

• Differentiate between poorly written and well-written bylaws.
• Apply best practices for plain-language writing.
• Demonstrate effective bylaw drafting by applying these practices to case studies.
