Speaker Consent Agreement

Introduction and Purpose
This Consent Form governs the recording of participants (“Participants”) in the July 2025 ‘We Want You: Parliamentary Fundamentals 101’ presentation by the National Association of Parliamentarians (“NAP”).

Consent to Record
By signing this Consent Form, the Participant hereby grants permission to NAP to record, film, photograph, audiotape, or videotape their image, voice, name, biographical information, and likeness during the presentation Program of ‘We Want You: Parliamentary Fundamentals 101’ (“the Program”). Participants grant NAP perpetual, worldwide rights to use their image, voice, and performance in the Program without compensation for any purpose deemed appropriate by NAP. Participants release NAP, its agents, employees, and assigns from all claims related to the use of recordings, including claims for invasion of privacy, appropriation of likeness, or defamation.

Use of Recorded Material
The recorded material obtained during the Program will be used primarily for educational and promotional purposes by NAP, including but not limited to marketing, training, and commercial purposes. The Participant hereby grants NAP, its affiliates, and assigns an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display the recorded material, in whole or in part, in any media formats and through any media channels, including for creating a paid course offered to both members and non-members of NAP. The Participant acknowledges that they will not receive any form of compensation for the use of the recorded material as described herein. This consent includes the use of the Participant’s image, voice, and likeness as part of the recorded material. Furthermore, the Participant agrees that the recorded material may be edited, altered, or modified as necessary for its intended use without requiring further approval from the Participant. Any use of the recorded material by NAP will adhere to applicable laws and regulations, including privacy and data protection laws. NAP shall maintain appropriate security measures to protect the recorded material from unauthorized access or misuse.

Protection of Work Product
This Consent Form recognizes that all slides, documents, and other materials utilized during the Program are the proprietary work product of NAP and are provided by the Membership Extension and Retention Committee (“MERC”). Participants hereby acknowledge that they are not required to maintain the confidentiality of such work product. However, by signing this Consent Form, they expressly consent to the use of their images, voices, and likenesses for NAP, including but not limited to educational and promotional activities.

Agreement to Terms
By signing, Participants agree to these terms and consent to NAP’s use of their recorded images, voices, and likenesses for promotional, educational, or other purposes without further approval or compensation. NAP may edit and use the recordings in any media or technology. This consent is irrevocable for existing materials, though future recordings may be revoked in writing.

Signature
This Consent Form is executed as of the date of the signature below by the Participant, who warrants and represents. It represents that they have full right, power, and authority to enter into this Consent Form and perform their respective obligations hereunder. The parties hereby agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this Consent Form, as evidenced by their signatures below. The Participant acknowledges that this Consent Form may be executed in counterparts, each of which shall be deemed an original, and may be executed by electronic signature in accordance with applicable electronic signature laws. Electronic signatures shall be regarded as valid and binding as original signatures. All counterparts together shall constitute one and the same instrument.
