HQ Staff Update

Welcoming New Team Members

The Executive Director of the National Association of Parliamentarians® is pleased to announce several important updates to our Headquarters team. These changes reflect our continued commitment to service excellence, operational strength, and member support.

Shanna Walker – Membership Specialist

We are delighted to welcome Shanna Walker as our new Membership Specialist. Shanna brings extensive experience in technical support, training coordination, data management, and customer service within complex digital systems. Her background in onboarding, LMS administration, and remote support environments positions her exceptionally well to serve our members efficiently and accurately.

Shanna’s attention to detail, organizational strength, and commitment to responsive service will enhance the member experience across renewals, credential processing, reporting, and account management.

You may reach Shanna directly at .

Pamela Dove – Events Engineer

We are equally excited to introduce Pamela Dove as our new Events Engineer. Pamela brings deep expertise in project coordination, digital systems management, quality assurance, and technical troubleshooting across multiple platforms. Her experience working with Office 365, LMS systems, CRM platforms, and remote collaboration tools will be invaluable as we continue refining our national event operations.

Pamela will support conference logistics, virtual and hybrid systems, registration workflows, and technical coordination to ensure seamless and professional event experiences for our members.

You may reach Pamela directly at .

Although Shanna and Pamela operate remotely on Central Time, members will have the opportunity to meet them in person at this year’s Training Conference in Birmingham. We are confident that their professionalism and expertise will serve NAP exceptionally well.

Dane Petersen – Office Administrator

We are pleased to announce that Dane Petersen is assuming the role of Office Administrator.

Dane will serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming communications to Headquarters via phone and the general HQ email. In addition to managing daily office operations, he will continue overseeing marketing and communications efforts in coordination with the Communications Committee.

As part of this transition, Dane will also assume responsibility for bookstore operations.

Honoring Susan’s Service

Our faithful bookstore guardian, Susan Bradley, will be retiring, again, likely by the end of March. Susan’s dedication, consistency, and care in fulfilling publication orders have served NAP and its members with excellence for many years. We are deeply grateful for her service and wish her every happiness in retirement.

As we look ahead, we will explore new methods of material distribution that can reduce costs and improve delivery speed for our members, ensuring that NAP resources remain accessible, efficient, and sustainable.

These staffing enhancements reflect NAP’s continued investment in strong infrastructure, responsive member service, and operational excellence. We are grateful to welcome professionals of this caliber to the team and look forward to the strength they bring to our mission of providing education and resources to facilitate efficient and democratic decision-making processes.

Please join us in welcoming Shanna and Pamela and congratulating Dane in his expanded role.
