Registered Parliamentarian Credentialing Exam

At their meeting on November 28, 2022, the NAP Board of Directors approved a recommendation by the Membership and Registration Examiners Committee (MREC) that the Legacy RP Exam be replaced by the Registered Parliamentarian Credentialing Exam (RPCE). The RPCE will be offered quarterly and will consist of two sections. Section I will be one-hundred multiple-choice questions derived from the Registered Parliamentarian Performance Expectations. Section II will be a performance evaluation with scenarios that each candidate must complete in writing. For candidates to be successful, they must objectively demonstrate core competencies needed to obtain the RP credential and must demonstrate the application of the core knowledge and basic business skills needed by every parliamentarian. Both sections will need to be completed in one sitting and will be evaluated by trained examiners. Join the MREC and the Commission at the Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, December 1, 2022, to learn more.
